Dimensions of cells in a table.

Hi,
I created the table here. http://easthope.ca/PenderDistances.html

The top headings need to be higher than other cells but otherwise
I prefer to see cells displayed with uniform widths and heights.

widths and heights specified in styling in the source are ignored.
How can the cells be given more uniform dimensions?
