How to make borderless menu options

Hi,

I'm just getting into learing HTML and trying to make a basic website for practice. I can't find how to make my menu options borderless. I keep getting a small line of the menu background color between the current page and the hovered over page next to it (picture below).

I have margin at 0 but I do have padding because I want the menu options to be a bit wider and taller.

Does anyone have any tips/notes for me?
